Muni payouts from legal claims growing

The City has suggested the transit agency insure itself against future incidents.

* In fiscal years 2008 and 2009, The City paid $7 million each year to the family of Elizabeth Dominguez, who was killed in 2003 by a Muni maintenance truck. The City will pay another $7 million in fiscal year 2010 to finish off the $21 million settlement.
